Individuals, who wish to study in Australia, are required to apply for a student visa. To apply for a student visa, applicants can lodge their application either electronically or in person Primus English paper based application, which depends on the current visa requirements of the applicants’ country of citizenship.

The student visa charges are separate from the tuition fee of the education program. Find out more on about the current visa charges on Student Visa Charges.

Additionally, contact the nearest Australian Embassy or Consulate, which can provide information and assistance about student visa applications.
Prior to lodging a student visa, it is important for you to know about your responsibilities as an international student.
You should only bring enough Australian currency in cash for your first few days. Alternatively, you can exchange your local currency for Australian Dollars at the airport. Do not carry large amounts of cash on you. If you are carrying more than A$10,000 (or equivalent currency), you must declare it to customs officials when you enter Australia.
When packing your clothing, remember that Melbourne weather can be variable, especially during spring and autumn. Expect warm and cool, rainy and dry, windy and calm all in one day during these times.

Prior to your departure, you can arrange to be picked up from the airport and transported to your accommodation. The airport transfer service is free for all Primus Education international students.
Make sure you book at least 24 hours prior to your arrival in Melbourne to guarantee a place.
On your arrival, you will be met at the airport and transported to your accommodation by our service provider. The driver will meet you after you have cleared customs, and will be holding a sign with the Primus Education logo on it.
If any family members or relatives are accompanying you to Melbourne, you will be required to pay the transfer cost for all family members directly to Harlan’s driver on arrival at Melbourne airport. The cost for this service will be advised at the time of booking.
If you have arranged for a friend or relative to meet you at the airport and wish to cancel your airport transfer, please inform Harlan info@harlan.com.au or +61 3 9354 5025 at least 48 hours prior to your departure so your pick-up arrangements can be cancelled.
Arriving at the international terminal
When you have collected your luggage and passed through customs you will exit into the Arrivals Hall. Turn right when you enter the Arrivals Hall and look for the red and white sign that says ‘Meeting Point’. The Harlan driver will be standing near the meeting point holding the welcome sign.
Arriving at the domestic terminal
Go to the appropriate baggage carousel to collect your luggage. You will then need to go to the Arrivals Hall in the international terminal. Speak to airport staff if you need directions to the Arrivals Hall.
When you enter the Arrivals Hall look for the red and white sign that says ‘Meeting Point’. The Harlan driver will be standing near the meeting point holding the welcome sign.
Delayed flights
If your flight is delayed, if you change to another flight, or if you cannot find the driver at the airport, you must contact Harlan Transport on either of the following numbers:

All Primus English students are required to attend an orientation program as part of commencing their course. During the orientation, students will receive useful information about the course, the support services and the policies and procedures at Primus English.
Students will be get the opportunity to see the campus and meet key staff members, giving students an opportunity to become familiar with the support staff that will assist them during the enrolment and study period at Primus English. The following is included in the orientation program:
